A listening ear
No diagnosis, no programme. Just someone who takes the time, really listens and is still there next week.
What it is about
What it is and who it is for
Not every problem needs to become a treatment programme. Sometimes you just want to tell your story to someone who doesn’t come with advice straight away, whom you don’t need to protect and who doesn’t judge.
You decide what it is about and how often you come. I listen, summarise what I hear and now and then ask a question you might not ask yourself. Nothing more, unless you want more.
Sound familiar?
- You want to talk without it becoming a diagnosis.
- The people around you are busy, or you don’t want to burden them.
- You are going through a hard time: grief, illness, divorce, caring for someone.
- You notice you bottle everything up and it is getting heavy.

How it works
How we go about it
1
Your story
You tell what you need to get off your chest, at your own pace. There is no agenda and no form.
2
Space and order
Saying things out loud often already puts them in place. I help you keep the thread.
3
As often as you like
Once, now and then, or weekly for a while. You decide, and you can always stop or come back later.
What to expect
Practical
- Full confidentiality.
- No treatment plan, unless you ask for one.
- If more turns out to be needed, I will discuss that honestly and help you think about the next step.
Frequently asked questions
Is this “real” help?
Yes. Being heard by someone who really sits down for you is often exactly what is needed to move on.
What if it turns out to be more serious?
Then I will say so. Together we look at whether one of the other forms fits better, or whether you would be better off elsewhere.
Is this available in English?
Yes. Sessions are available in English and in Dutch.
