Problem-clarifying conversation

Sometimes the biggest problem is that it is unclear what the problem is. In one or two sessions we bring it into sharp focus.

What it is about

What it is and who it is for

You don’t feel well, things are sluggish, but you can’t pin down what it is. Is it work, the relationship, sleep, something from the past, or simply too much at once? As long as that is unclear, you also don’t know what to do about it.

In one or two sessions we map it out: what is going on, since when, what have you already tried and what would need to change. You go home with a clear picture and advice on the next step. That could be a series of sessions with me, but just as well something else.

Sound familiar?

  • You feel something isn’t right, but you can’t put your finger on it.
  • You doubt whether you need help, and which kind.
  • You want a clear picture before you start anything.
  • You have already tried a lot without it really helping.

How it works

How we go about it

1

Everything in a row

Together we lay out what is going on, in your own words and without haste.

2

Seeing the connections

I help you see what is linked to what, and where the core is.

3

Tailored advice

You get honest advice: what can you do yourself, what can I do for you and where might you be better off?

What to expect

Practical

  • One or two sessions of about an hour.
  • A clear overview that you take home.
  • No obligation to continue afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as an intake?

No. An intake is the start of a programme. This conversation is meant to determine whether and which programme makes sense, even if that is not with me.

Can I continue straight away afterwards?

Yes, if we both think it makes sense. But it is just as fine to leave it at this one conversation.

Is this available in English?

Yes. Sessions are available in English and in Dutch.
